GENERAL INFORMATION
Kent Elms Tennis Club is located in Aviation Way, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS2 6UN (Click here for a map). The club is owned by its members and features three floodlit tiger turf artificial grass tennis courts together with a large car park and a modern clubhouse.
This small friendly tennis club competes in the Leigh & Westcliff Tennis League where it runs ten summer teams and ten winter teams (for the latest league positions and tournament results, click on the above link). The club also organises several social functions which include a pre-season Chinese Meal & Karaoke night, an end-of-season meal (Superstars Banquet!), and an Xmas party.
Members can enjoy a high standard of social tennis at any one of four social sessions (Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 7pm, Saturday afternoon from 1pm and Sunday morning from 9.30am).
Annual membership fees in 2010 were £195 for full members and £125 for off-peak members, which includes tennis balls and free unrestricted use of floodlights.
